Dr. Alejandra Ortiz, Pharm.D.
Owner & Clinical Director · 3rd Generation Pharmacist
Alejandra leads Ortiz Pharmacy's clinical direction and daily operations, carrying forward a family legacy that began with her grandfather in 1930. A 2004 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy, she is one of the only 100% women-owned pharmacy owners in Texas — WBE certified 2020–2022. Her hands-on approach ensures every patient receives the personal, expert care the Ortiz name has stood for across three generations.

Eddy's story at Ortiz Pharmacy is one of dedication from the ground up. He first walked through these doors as a high school student working as a cashier, then spent 20 years as a pharmacy technician before earning his Doctor of Pharmacy degree and a master's degree in healthcare administration — giving him a rare combination of frontline experience and executive-level perspective. With nearly 20 years of total involvement in pharmacy, Eddy brings a depth of knowledge that few can match. As Vice-President, he works closely with our team of eight experienced pharmacy technicians and oversees delivery drivers and front-end staff to ensure service remains consistent, safe, and dependable for every patient we serve.

Pharmacy Team
Ortiz Pharmacy is staffed by three licensed pharmacists — Dr. Alejandra Ortiz, Vice-President Eddy Tellez, and Mara Trejo — ensuring clinical accuracy, patient counseling, and seamless coordination with prescribers every day.
Pharmacy Technicians
Our eight pharmacy technicians bring over 80 years of combined experience to the work that keeps the pharmacy running — filling prescriptions, resolving insurance issues, coordinating refills, and supporting patient follow-ups.
Delivery & Front-End Staff
Our delivery drivers and front-end team are the friendly faces and dependable hands that make every pickup, drop-off, and patient interaction smooth, professional, and personal.
